Experience is knowledge and knowledge is power, The power to make better decisions in in your journey of life.
Welcome to Billy G's pages of Knowledge - Or "Pages of Experience".Experience helps you improve your life because as you learn from your own experiences you make better decisions in your life. Better than that is the opportunity to learn from the experiences of others.
Your Own Experiences Is Not Enough It is a fact that you and I will die someday. Some of you are very young and some of you are very old, maybe even older than me. I'm sixty two years old now and I have a lot of experience to share with those who care to read. Should you consider to read and learn from some of my experiences? You bet!, and here's why...You, me and everyone else in the world, won't live long enough to benefit from our own experiences. It is beneficial to learn from the experience of others, putting you a head of the game of life.
But Not All Experiences Are True Experiences
This is very true, and some of your friends will claim to know better than you. They'll claim to have .... "experiences". How do you know who's telling you the truth? Only time will tell.
Become a Sponge
You need to become a sponge and pickup all the information you hear and see. Don't make quick decisions on the first recommendation you learn. You simply take in the information for further analysis. Like a sponge soaking up water, listen and learn.
The Next Step: Analyze ThisNow that you've got a lot of inputs you are ready to analyze, scrutinize, and realize. Now we need to develop decision processes to help us decide what experiences to learn from. We must layout all the data and move each piece into one of three boxes in your mind.
Pros - Cons - Don't Matter
The box of Pro's are reasons that are positive and beneficial to you. These are the things that will bring you wealth, good health, happiness, everything good.
The Cons are just the opposite, and filled with reasons why it won't work, will cause you pain, to lose money, bring you sadness.
The "Don't Matter" Box are simply the information you should not worry about, it don't really matter. In most of my analytical processes, I don't even have a Don't Matter box. So did I bring it up? It don't matter.... (got you).
From here on it's up to you. No one can tell you how to feel or what to do, you'll need to make these decisions by yourself. I know it will be hard but let's face it, your mama or papa will not be with you all of your life.
Now places your bits of information into one of the boxes mentioned above. Soon you'll have a visual map of what makes better sense for the road you are about to take.
Don't make quick and hasty decisions in your life. On the other side of the coin is fear of doing nothing or analyzing forever, never making a decision is far worst.
Failures are not the enemy
To me failure only means an opportunity to find out what went wrong and try again. That is the attitude one must have in order to survive the winds of time. Oh I'll tell you that story too.
